I have just realized that it has been almost 9 months since I lasted posted to this journal! With working nonstop throughout summer and fall, I haven't had much time to get my thoughts together to post here. What doesn't help is that I am not a person that really likes to write everyday about what is happening in everyday life. I started to think a bit tonight about posting here and finally decided that I will try to write a little bit more often, as I think it's gonna help be write better and faster. Well, not faster as I write pretty fast. I surprised myself this week by writing a 600 word lab report in less than an hour. I don't know if it is pretty common, but I am pleased to know how fast I can write when I want to!
So what happened in the last 9 months...
An amazing thing happened to me this fall! I met a super amazing, super sweet, geeky guy that I’m lucky to call him by boyfriend. My first boyfriend! His name is Joël, I met him in Gothic literature course in August. I don’t how exactly how I started to talk to him, but I do remember it was the first class and I asked if I could sit with him, as we had started a conversation with one of his friends about what we expected would happen during the class, as it was taught by an awesome teacher. So months went by, and we became close. I must say that because I never had a boyfriend before I didn’t know I was actively flirting with him. It took a couple of friends to say that he was really interested to be with me, and the clues were that he came by my work place just to be with me, and he would invite me in his group of friends for some discussions.
I must say it was a super sweet way to ask me out. As I can’t exactly say what happen in words I will try my best!
Since I work in Old Québec, he said that we could go have dinner after I worked on Saturday and I said yes. So the Saturday comes and I am with a co worker and he arrives at 1pm just to spend the day with me, even if I was working. Like any work place we were not allowed to have any friends there while we were working. But like anyone else, I didn’t mind that he was there since if I had a client he would move out of the way and let me take care of the customer. Well, until my boss came. She saw him the first time and was ok, as she thought that he was someone buying or whatever. But the second time, she was pissed and threw him out (ever since, he really doesn’t like her.) Amazingly, he stuck around sitting on a bench outside and wandered around the neighborhood instead of going at his apartment until 5 pm. We ate a restaurant, (which was amazing) and started to walk towards the Plains of Abraham talking about anything and everything. We arrive at a hill where there was a perfect view of the river and the sky, and there he asked me out. It became a blur for a while, but I did say yes! (Of course! or I wouldn’t be talking about that!) Since then, I met both sides of his family, spent Christmas with him, and here we are today! Sure we had our ups and downs, but they were mostly ups! He introduced me to World of Warcraft,( which I love, love love) and many other computer games.(not important but w/e :P)
But now, I miss him something fierce, as we don’t see each other much during the week as our schedules are so different, except for the class we have together (Ancient Civilizations) and he is working most weekends at the Military Reserve. But we do try to have one day a week where I sleep over at his place and just have some time together alone (mostly taking turns playing WoW! :P) but at least we get to play together at WoW most nights when we are apart, even the weekend. I know it’s not the same thing, but it’s a good substitute. Well, except for this weekend as he is doing some winter camping with his unit and doesn’t have any access to the internet. L Although playing with his brother and his brother’s friend does alleviate the loneliness a bit. (Oh yeah, we are a little gang that plays together! :P)
For the rest of it, I met some pretty awesome people, people that I clicked very well with and had fun all summer with them. I can't wait to restart working as I miss the banter of many of my coworkers! And also for the money! Since my little shop is closed for the winter (not enough business), my money is going pretty fast as I'm paying for most of my school stuff. Meh, part of life, yeah?
Anyways, that is it for now. I’ll try to write at least once a week here!
And sorry for the bad writing and grammar! Sleepiness is invading my body and I’ll be correcting this entry tomorrow!
